Nintendo releases the Game Boy Advance

Nintendo Game Boy Advance is a 32-bit handheld game console developed by Nintendo. It used a 32-bit ARM RISC processor with a Z80 for backward compatibility with existing Game Boy software titles.

Nintendo released the Game Boy Advance in Japan on 21st March 2001, in North America on 11th June 2001, and in Europe & Australia on 22nd June 2001.

Launch titles included Super Mario Advance, Kuru Kuru Kurukin, and Tweety & the Magic Gems.
